Panic Raises $56,000 for Japanese Relief Efforts

Panic, the developers of Unison newsreader and a number of other popular Mac apps including Transmit and Coda recently helped raise money for the relief efforts in Japan.  An announcement on the Panic Blog explained their personal connection to the tragedy in Japan.  As they have an office and staff in the country.

The event took place on March 17-18.  With Panic donating 100% of their sales to the disaster relief.   They raised over $56,000 for the Japanese Red Cross and Mercy Corps.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Panic employees and their families in Japan.  Along with everyone else affected by the tragedy.

Please consider donating to the Red Cross to help in the Japanese relief efforts.  Apple has made it easy for iTunes members to donate.  You can donate between $5 and $200 through iTunes.  With 100% of the money going to the American Red Cross.
